Rummage Through My Empties! #1

Hey guys! Today I wanted to share with you my empties, to share with you my opinions on everything and whether I think they are worth recommending! I am terrible at keeping a consistent routine, and I often switch up products so I don’t often finish things that quickly, which explains why there isn’t much here haha!

I’ve only successfully finished two items of makeup in this bunch, and even then I know I haven’t quite finished it all, it’s more a case of it’s old and needs chucking away! Firstly we have the Urban Decay Perversion Mascara, which I actually quite enjoyed. It gave me volume and length, although it can make your lashes a bit clumpy if you apply too much. If I don’t find any other mascaras that take my fancy then I think I would buy this again! Next was the NYX Tinted Brow Mascara, which I’m sure is close to running out as I’ve been using it the entirety of last year. This was nothing special, it did the job well and gave the brows a nice tint, but currently I’m using my Glossier Boy Brow, and I don’t really need two brow gels at the same time! If you are looking for a cheaper brow gel though then I’m sure this one would work well for you.

In the haircare category I have four items, a lot better than the makeup! First I have the Batiste Dry Shampoo, and I go through these really quickly, so it would be no surprise to see this pop up in all of the future empties posts too. This dry shampoo does everything I need it to, and so I find no reason to try others when this one is already good quality and not too expensive! Secondly we have the TIGI Urban Antidotes Reboot Shampoo // review // which I enjoyed thoroughly, as I’ve mentioned in my review. I have an upcoming post answering whether I would purchase this again, but it definitely worked nicely and did the job!

Another product I finished up was the JĀSÖN Smoothing Sea Kelp Conditioner, which was not my favourite by far, however I did find it worked better the most that I used it. At first I found that unless I made sure to rinse my hair a lot when using this it would leave a residue in my hair and make it look all stuck together, which is not quite the look I was going for! I then started mixing it in with another conditioner to lessen its effects and it worked much better then. In terms of conditioning I would not recommend this for drier or thicker hair types, it just isn’t cut out for us! The final haircare product is the Moroccanoil Intense Hydrating Mask, which I bought along with the well-known oil. It smelt wonderful – just so you know – however I think it does the job just the same as a cheaper hair mask would, and I don’t think I would buy it again at such a high price.

Lastly on to skincare and miscellaneous! I have the JĀSÖN Glowing Apricot Body Wash, that I have been using for at least 2 years due its size, and the only reason it got finished up is because my brother used up a lot of it! It has a lovely smell and gave a good wash, not much else I can say about it? If you’re looking for a body wash that will last you a lifetime, this will do the job! I also have the LUSH Rub Rub Rub Shower Scrub, which I got in a gift set a while back. This is a nice scrub, it is good at exfoliating when you need to, however most of the time I’m aiming for a quick shower because I’ve left it last minute, and just don’t fit it into the equation, therefore I probably won’t be buying this again. Not because I didn’t like it, more because it will get abandoned!

Next is the Mario Badescu Facial Spray with Aloe, Herbs, and Rosewater, arguably the prettiest looking one that everyone loves taking photos with! I liked this a lot, and already have a backup actually that I bought in a set, so no need to repurchase again! I don’t particularly find that it does anything, but I like the added hydration it offers my skin when it’s feeling a bit drier than usual. Finally we have the So…? Iced Melon Body Mist, which I bought on a whim early last year. I think at least a third of this was evaporated… my bad. However it does smell lovely, and if you want a spray for spring and summer I think you would enjoy this!

So here are the empties I have right now! Ah, they can be put in the bin finally haha.

As always,

Love, Emily x
