Colourpop Ultra Blotted Lip in ‘Zuma’

So sometime last year or maybe slightly before that, Colourpop came out with a new formula of liquid lipstick: Ultra Blotted Lips! I got the shade ‘Zuma’ which is described as as being a warm nude, but I think personally that it leans more towards a nude pink than just a nude. After trying it out, I thought I would share my views on it, as I did not know what I was really expecting, and I was pleasantly surprised!

On the website, these Ultra Blotted lip are described as being a ‘soft, diffused just-blotted look’, which I wholeheartedly agree with. When I applied it, it felt similar in formula to their other liquid lipsticks, but it wasn’t as pigmented with one application, so it definitely needed building up. Personally that doesn’t bother me, as it gives me more time to get a clean line around my lips, instead of having loads of product that keeps moving around.

The formula does feel thinner though, which is also nice as it means that when it dries down you really don’t notice it on your lips that much. I think that I will purchase a couple more colours of this in the future, maybe when I finish some other lip products up! I think that for me as well it cuts all the right corners, as when I use the Ultra Matte or Satin I find that a lot of the time I end up blotting them anyway because it feels like too much on my lips, and so the Ultra Blotted is actually perfect for me!

Have you tried this formula from Colourpop yet? Let me know what you think of it, or what you think of their other formula’s as well!

As always,

  1. I have not tried that formula. I’m just starting to wear lipstick and not super familiar with the different types, so I’ll definitely check this one out. Thanks for sharing!
