If You Try One Thing: Face Halo

I’m sure many of you have seen it floating around the ‘beauty world’ the last couple of years, and I for one decided I would try it out. What is it you may ask? Well it’s the Face Halo of course! A reusable pad full of microfibres that grabs onto your makeup to remove it quick and easy. You don’t need any other remover or cleanser in addition, as it works will either hot or cold water; your preference!

For wash after use all that’s needed is some soap and water, and for when it’s a little bit grubbier you can put it in the washing machine with your white wash and voila! (Don’t use fabric conditioner though – it might ruin how well the fibres work) It can be purchased directly from the website here, or on BeautyBay here, costing £18 for a pack of 3 makeup remover pads, which is actually a great price.

I’m never afraid to admit that I naturally was a bit skeptical at first, mostly concerning eye makeup. But I have to say that whilst you need to find a way that works for you, it does do a good job of getting mascara off – although it can be a bit hard targeting the lower lash line. Maybe a new step would be smaller pads specifically for the eyes?

Overall I really enjoy being able to have a reusable makeup remover product, as my ever-growing concerns about the environment have pushed me to be much more sustainable in my purchasing, and I no longer wish to purchase cotton pads as they get used maybe once or twice and then that’s it! Over time as I finish things up I will be replacing them with more eco-friendly items – I will keep you up to date!

Have you tried Face Halo before? If not, you should!

As always,

Love, Emily x
