First of all, can we appreciate how beautiful this packaging is? It’s like a pinky-purple heaven with gold vibes! Anyway, I wasn’t planning on doing a review of this, since it’s been out for a while now and the time has most likely passed, but I had these pictures and didn’t want to waste them since they are STUNNING.
First impressions are that the colours look beautiful, it will definitely suit my skin tone, and I do expect my face to glow when using this palette. I’m gonna say it – I’m a teeny bit disappointed in this, mostly because of how hard it is to pick up the product, mostly the bronzer and blush topper. I can overlook this though, because I somewhat bought this for the novelty of it along with actually wanting to use it, and so if I want to use it I don’t mind spending a bit more time using it.
The highlighters do seem to work a bit better though, which is a good thing! When using my normal brush I can clearly see the colour deposit on my cheeks, but especially my nose for some reason – although I’m not complaining! My only disappointment is that the first highlighter, the champagne colour, is slightly darker than I would have anticipated. Now it doesn’t leave any dark cast on my face, but it’s also not as vibrant as I thought it would be, and I was excited because I don’t have a colour like that in my collection.
This is purely my own problem though! The highlighters work just as they should and swatch beautifully as well as apply really well, whereas the blush topper swatches well but takes a bit of building up to actually see the pink and not just gold flecks. Overall it is still the bronzer that let’s this palette down the most, as it seems dryer than the other powders, which is what I think makes it harder to pick up without digging your brush into it for a while!
If you’re interested in buying this palette, I would only do so if you don’t mind working with it a bit more than other products, as you most likely will have to find a way to use it that works for you. Once you’re holding it in yours hand though… you feel like luxury!
I hope you found this post useful, and thank you for reading.
