My Eyebrow Routine + Products I Love

Ah, eyebrows. Beauty for some, whilst pain for others! I have never really been interested in the ‘Instagram brows’ trend – mostly because I have poor skills and wouldn’t be able to anyway! But seriously, I am more of the natural type in my whole makeup approach, and that’s just what I like – so as long as people are happy and love what they’re doing, that’s all I’m concerned about! So here is my very easy eyebrow routine, which involves two very loved products.

Firstly, I don’t do much to maintain my eyebrows, apart from use my trusty £2 pair of tweezers I got about 5 years ago! I just let them grow and then remove any unwanted hairs and voila! – my eyebrows are done. I’m lucky that I even have brow hairs left, as sometime around maybe year 10 I decided that the ‘extremely thin line’ brow was what I was after! Never again, not once.

When doing my makeup I will most likely use the NYX Micro Brow Pencil in the shade Taupe, as it’s easier to use than a pomade, and I can easily wipe it away if I mess up – which I always do. I would enjoy this much more if the colour didn’t always come off so warm and brown on me, but every taupe I have tried so far just does, and blonde options are waaaay too light for me, so I just suffer in silence!

To set my brows I currently use the Glossier Boy Brow in Brown, as it doesn’t make them look super stiff, but holds them in place nicely and also adds a bit more colour so that they don’t look overly warm! After that I’m basically done, unless I feel like I need a bit more, in which case I might apply a light second coat just to move things in place.

Well that’s it, my super simple brow routine! I will say that these products are at favourite level, and I’m very happy with them. What are your favourite eyebrow products, and do you like the natural or carved look?

As always,

Love, Emily x
